It is expected to reach the quality of 0,2 µS/cm or better at the outlet of the EDI plant. However, due to the migration of free CO2 from atmospheric air to the product water tank, the conductivity of PW water in the loop will usually increase to ca. 0.8-1.0 µS/cm and pH will decrease, sometimes even below 5. It is possible to minimize this process installing a soda line filter on the breathing line of the PW tank.
